    Data Recovery & Backup

It is a sad fact that most PC users will lose valuable data at some time.  This may be simply through over-enthusiastic spring cleaning of the "My Documents" folder, or often through Virus problems or Hard Drive failure.  Thurrock PC Services provide a data recovery service using a variety of professional data recovery software which may be able to retrieve documents previously lost or erased. 

IT IS IMPORTANT NOT TO USE THE SYSTEM ANY MORE THAN IS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY ONCE A DATA RECOVERY PROBLEM HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED.  THIS IS BECAUSE WINDOWS MAY WRITE NEW DATA OVER AREAS OF THE HARD DRIVE WHICH IT CONSIDERS TO BE EMPTY BUT WHICH STILL CONTAIN RECENTLY ERASED FILES.

Data recovery is not an exact science and can be very time consuming with no guarantee of success.  Backing up your documents in the first place is always easier than trying to recover them later.  Thurrock PC Services can provide advice on how best to back up your important data to prevent this being an issue in future.  PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE!!
